Ignorance and stupidity...
I was on my now weekly trip to the Crazy Person Doctors this morning and I noticed The Sociopathic Gun Guy on 302 had changed his sign. The latest pearl to drop from this swine is as follows:
"Tolerance is a virtue for people who have no principles"
That man is god damned lucky I am so
tolerant of his idiotic opinions or I would burn that fuckin sign to the ground on general
principle!!!
The definition of principles does not include one's willingness to cram them down other people's throats. The fact that I don't believe that stupid people like him should be allowed to procreate doesn't mean I should have the storm troopers drag him to the clinic and have him sterilized. The fact that he feels everyone should be allowed to carry guns and shoot each other down in the streets doesn't mean that he should abolish every gun law known to man.
There will always be a majority and minority opinion in any discussion on any topic. Each side will feel a certain degree of commitment to their opinion. Not all people approach these opinions from a basis of a principled belief but that doesn't make the commitment any less valid. Not everyone weighs every position they take on every subject against principle. I like cinnamon raisin bagles but I don't have any basis other than they taste good. However I feel gays should be allowed to marry on the principle that every human should be allowed to love and commit themselves to whomever they wish because they
are human. Now the fact that there are those out there who feel that this is wrong on the basis of the principle of morality is fine. I
tolerate that. And I don't feel that anyone that believes homosexual marriage is wrong should be forced into one. However, those who would make it illegal for gays to marry based on their principle doesn't make them principled people it makes them facists!!!!!
The older I get the more I really despise the fact that these people are allowed to run wild in the general populace without a leash and a muzzle.
