Heath enrages AugustaVisions of things to come...
"
The (Christian Civic) League issued its Internet call last week for "tips, rumors, speculation and facts" about the sexual orientation of state officials. But the plan did not attract widespread notice until the Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram and its affiliated newspapers in Augusta and Waterville reported on it Wednesday. [emphasis mine]"
"(Governor) Baldacci, who often shies away from using forceful language, pulled no punches Wednesday when he said the purpose of any list of gays and lesbians developed by the Christian Civic League "can only be to destroy careers, the most insidious form of discrimination."
"...Maine has no law protecting the civil rights of gays and lesbians, who can lose their jobs, apartments and credit without legal recourse under the Maine Human Rights Act."
The Religious Wrong is declaring war people, with statues and statutes. They live by the creedo that "If you're not for us, you're against us" and they are out to get rid of all of us that ain't for 'em. And with GW and the Texas Mafia in control, they are now feeling freer to do that out in the open.
You can call me the nut on the corner with a sandwich board saying "The End is Near" if you want to, but I don't know how else to interpret this kind of thing going on
EVERY DAY in every corner of this country. I hope I'm around to say "I told you so" instead of in some kind of consentration camp smack in the middle of the Nevada desert.
