I saw a bumper sticker in the Shaws parking lot the other day that I just loved. Yes, I shamelessly admit to being a bumper sticker reader! dangit.
"Are we kinder & gentler yet?"
I wonder if Jr remembers that speech. I think the 1000 points of light have all been blown out by Ashcroft. This, then will be George Sr's legacy thanks to Jr. Not that I was in any way a George Sr fan but, frighteningly enough, in retrospect I like him a
WHOLE lot better than his kid. And my kid had been in Mom Bush's Children's hospital a couple of times so she's ok too as far as that goes. It's really great. If you're ever in Maine and your kid gets sick, you'll all be in good hands.
What kind of genetic anomoly could have produced such an evil fascist from such moderate parents? Kind of makes ya wonder.

I just about peed my pants when I read this quote in a post by
this guy regarding John Ashcroft. He has lots of really clever stuff going on over there. Ya might wanna stop by.
"We just cannot imagine the stress you're under after working so hard to curtail personal rights, civil rights, merge church and state, and basically, you know, shred that ratty old Constitution! Time for bigger and better...a NEW constitution co-sponsored by Halliburton, Chevron, and the Assemblies of God Church!"
I mean think about it? The Tropicanna Orange Bowl...3 COM Park...The Tweeter Center...The Halliburton/Assemblies of God United States Constitution. Next logical step? Don't laugh people, it's closer than you think.
This country is going to be an amazing amalgam of Capitalistic Soviet Facism where the Military Industrial Complex and the Oil Industry become the 4th branch of the government. Some would argue that they are already the Shadow Government just now coming out of the shadows. The President will be an appointee of the CEO. Where the State knows what is best for you and will enforce that upon you whether you like it or not. Time for someone to write an updated version of "1984" I think.
